Soft greens and whites. Lace and tulle. Flowing chiffon. Gray, three piece suits. Summer sun. Rolling Hills. This summer Cedar Creek wedding was perfectly planned in every way.

And it all started with a box.

A box that had been named, “The Very Important Box.” Filled with the most important details of the most important day of her life. His ring. Her ring. Grandma’s jewelry. The invitation that was sent out to family and friends. The marriage license. The perfume she chose specifically for this day. A love note to her very soon to be husband. Trini was ready. And The Very Important Box was ready.

It really all started a long time before The Very Important Box. But, packed inside that box, was both the end and the beginning. The end of separate lives, and the beginning of one together.

If I had to describe Trini and Adam in one word, it would be genuine. From their smiles (boy do they both have great smiles!) to their laughter, to the way they treat complete strangers and close family, to the love they have for each other. They are one hundred percent genuine. Through and through.

I actually can’t stop with just one word. They are also gracious, caring, kind, happy, full of life, joyful, and so in love. These two fill a room with happiness, which are the best kind of people. With 9 groomsmen, and 8 bridesmaids, I’d imagine I’m not alone in these feelings.

Trini’s father watched down from Heaven as her brother walked her down the aisle. It was such a sweet moment to watch these two siblings, who shared in loss, share so much joy together. And just as sweet, was Adam’s smiling face as his bride walked towards him. Both their faces said it all. Their smiles never stopped. The day was filled with joy and laughter, everything a wedding day should be filled with.

The guests filled The Barn at Cedar Creek from wall to wall. Trini and Adam thanked their guests with a sweet note on a bottle of wine set as the table marker. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, Trini chose giant cookies baked with love by the Borgia High School cafeteria. A favorite from her growing up days. The speeches from both Trini’s Matrons of Honor were perfection. And Adam’s best man, who is also his twin brother, was more than happy to pass along all the congratulations he received, when guests mistook him as the groom.

As the sun began to set, Adam and Trini danced their first dance together as husband and wife, to Michael Franti’s, “Life is Better with You.” It was the happiest first dance I’ve ever seen. And completely magical.

Then, just before the sun completely set, Trini and her brother walked to the dance floor. As they started to dance what should have been the father daughter dance, a video played in the background. Trini and her dad, dancing at her eighth grade graduation years ago. I wish my words could describe just how sweet of a moment this was. And just how much love filled that dance floor. Tear filled eyes were scattered throughout the entire room. And I’m certain, the sun stayed up just a little bit longer for Trini that night.

Trini and Adam. I can’t even tell you how much it means to me to have been a part of your day. Every attention to detail, and every thoughtful moment was perfect. You make the most beautiful couple. The love you share is visible and so sweet. I wish you happiness every day, through the good and the bad that life inevitably brings. The strength I see in you both is inspiring. I have no doubt that your future is bright and full of love!
