If Heaven were in Missouri, it’d be at Little Piney Lodge. Nestled in the the hills of Hermann, in the middle of Missouri wine country, it’s pure bliss. And when you’re there, you’re part of the family. Dreams come true at Little Piney Lodge, and when a wedding photographer and wedding planner combine dreams, magic happens!
Just a few short weeks ago, Saving Grace Occasions and I put on the styled wedding of our dreams. We welcomed 13 photographers out to Little Piney Lodge, for a styled shootout that had our jaws hitting the floor all. Day. Long. Thanks to a super hero vendor team, and the mad floral skills of Rouge Events and Design.
With the most perfect summer weather, a knock out, real life couple, and a stunning venue, the stage was set. A shootout is the perfect way for photographers to get elevated content, and practice their skills, without the pressure of a real wedding day. All while making new friends and having an absolute blast. Flat lays, gorgeous floral installations gallore, 2 bridal looks (one topped off with a CAPE! Be still my heart!), a ceremony by the lake, a gourmet meal under unbelievable hanging florals, breathtaking bride and groom portraits with views for days, and a surprise canoe ride through a sea of flower petals. The day was literal perfection from start to finish.
But, the icing on the cake…our real life couple celebrated their real life 4th anniversary the very same day.
Magic.
Grace and I were on cloud nine. We still are actually. And can’t wait to plan our next dream day!
Until then, relive the magic right here…
