I have a lot of favorite parts of the wedding process. But my first favorite, is the engagement session. There’s a lot less pressure and stress on everyone with engagement pictures. It gives me a chance to really get to know the couple, and their love story, and then see it play out in front of me. It’s always happy. And we laugh a lot. They get to know me, and that familiarity brings a level of comfort to the actual wedding day. Like I said, it’s my first favorite!
Bethany and Grant. Ah! These guys are all kinds of awesome!
Theirs was a love story, years in the making. They went to the same college, but never dated. Years went by. They recognized each other out one night, and he offered to buy her a drink, but she disappeared with her friends. Eventually they found each other on snapchat, and their love story began!
There is so much love between Bethany and Grant. They are gorgeous from the inside out. And oh so sweet. And adventurous. And down right FUN! We had to reschedule their engagement session several times, thanks to Missouri’s crazy roller coaster weather. But we finally made it happen, and it. was. magical. Thank you Klondike Park, you sure know how to make a photographer happy! Dreamy light, white sand, and rocky cliffs all add up for a perfect location for the perfect couple.
We climbed big hills, stood on cliffs, played with their ADORABLE dog, Charlie, and tried not to freeze to death. The sun was perfection, and these two were naturals in front of the camera. I was basically in photographer heaven, and they were SUCH good sports. And an absolute joy to be around. Bethany and I may have chatted about wedding colors and decor…and let me just say, I cannot WAIT for their wedding in March!
