Factory Wedding | St. Louis Wedding Photographer

Friends, St. Louis has some REALLY cool wedding venues.  And Third Degree Glass Factory is one of them.  We’re talking, industrial wedding venue meets modern art gallery meets actual glass factory.  Exposed brick walls, high ceilings and huge metal encased windows, give it a very distinct industrial or factory feel.  But the vibrant glass art displayed on the walls and hanging from the ceilings add a touch of warmth.  Add in Bethany and Grant, their families and their friends, and it was a building full of happiness.

Saturday was a DAY full of happiness.

Bethany was SO excited for her day to begin, that she was completely ready to get into her dress before I even showed up!  Hair, done.  Makeup, done.  Bridesmaids ready from head to toe, done.  It was the most relaxed, ahead of schedule, bridals suite I’d ever stepped foot into!  When it was finally time to step into her dress, Bethany was all smiles.  When she looked at her mom those first few moments after getting zipped up, she never stopped smiling, even through the happy tears welling up in her eyes.  These are the moments I love the most.  It was quite.  And happy.  And real.

It was time.  Time to see the man she would spend forever with, for the first time on the day they’ve been waiting for, for months and months.  First looks are perfection.  Every. Single. Time.  And this time, was no exception.  Even the rainy weather couldn’t stop the joy and excitement bubbling out of everyone waiting to witness this precious moment.  As I walked with Grant to his spot, I found out that he, too, had been up early in excited anticipation of seeing his bride.  He couldn’t wait.  And the moment was finally here.

As he waited under the entrance of The Muny, his beautiful bride held back tears as she walked towards him.  Then she gently tapped his shoulder, and they were there.  Together, in this moment of complete happiness, and excitement, and joy.  They couldn’t stop smiling. And holding each other.  And smiling.

What a way to start their day.  And it was only just beginning.  Heart felt vows were read.  Fragments of glass were poured together to symbolize the unity of two hearts.  And that glass was later formed, into a beautiful piece of glass art. In the shape of a heart.  The rings were passed to all those they loved the most.  Friends standing beside them, and family witnessing from the front row.  Each person silently adding their love and support to this marriage as they touched the rings.  So much love.  And so much happiness.  And so many smiles.

Bethany and Grant, your smiles tell it all.  That sweet, never-ending love you have for each other is priceless.  And oh, so special.  Hold on to it.  Remember how much your cheeks hurt from all the smiling on the day your married your best friend.  It was and honor to witness all those smiles, and hope you will smile together forever.

It's about more than hiring someone to hold a camera and snap a few pics. Wedding photography is about capturing the joyful, bright, authentic moments of your big day in a way that beautifully tells the story of your love.

Your moments matter.
