Two sisters, two guys, one wedding day. That’s love right there. Sharing your wedding day with your sister! I’ll admit, I had no idea what to really expect going into this. But, let me tell you, it was SO good! This double wedding was a fantastic idea!
I’ve known Nadiana and Gabrella for more than half their lives. Which really just makes me sound old! They are part of one of the most amazing families I’ve ever known. Salt of the earth type families. So the guys they would end up marrying, needed to be cream of the crop! (How’s that for mixing all kinds of metaphors!) Guess what, they found them! And it just so happened to be at about the same time! Hence, double wedding.
Here’s the thing, though. These sisters may have shared their wedding day, but everything about the day represented them both individually. From the different dress choices, to colors, to flowers, to hairstyles, right on down to the groom. It could have been two completely separate weddings, but yet, they blended so well.
We started the day with first looks. This part is always so magical, and it was twice the magic on this gorgeous spring morning. The grooms each patiently waited. The bride’s mom, brother and maid’s of honor watched from a distance. So much love and so much happiness all at once. Like I said, magical.
Then it was dad’s turn. I held back tears behind my camera as this big, strong, police officer dad watched his two girls walk towards him in their white dresses and ear to ear smiles. There really is nothing like the father daughter bond. These were his babies, together, getting married on the SAME day! Double emotions, double special.
This was an LDS (mormon) temple wedding, which means the ceremony is private and sacred. When the newly married brides and their grooms walked out the temple doors, a feeling of true happiness and love came with them. They were married! Husband and wife, Mr. and Mrs.
The reception was held out in the country, under the open sky. It really could not have been more perfectly suited for these two couples. They danced their first dances, just as the sun was setting. And I about couldn’t handle the sweetness of the father daughter dances. It was the most perfect, happy day, in every way.
