The One with A LOT of Kids

My husband is an accountant.  This time of year keeps him pretty busy to say the least.  Let’s just say “END OF TAX SEASON!!!!!” is written very big and bold on the calendar hanging in my kitchen.

Since he works so much January-April, it’s the perfect time for my sister and her kiddos to move in for a couple weeks! And by move in I mean drive 30 hours across the country to visit long enough to make the 30 hour drive back home doable and the stay worth it.  She’s done that drive at least 3 times, which is 3 times more than I will ever do.  Sorry sis.

But the cousins LOVE being together.  And I love me some sister time.  We baked treats, ate a lot of Chick-Fil-A (we both have a slight obsession), watched our favorite 1980’s spy show “Scarecrow and Mrs. King”, and ate more treats.  Somewhere in there, we packed too many people into my minivan, explored new parks, braved the cold, and the hot (thank you Missouri weather!), and tortured the kids with our cameras.

Our sister-in-law and her little boy flew in for the last week, which meant more treats, more outings, and less sleep!  It was awesome.  3 moms, 8 kids, 2 minivans, all under one roof.  Kind of sounds like an episode of Sister Wives. But not.

I love these girls.  And their kids.  And treats.

It's about more than hiring someone to hold a camera and snap a few pics. Wedding photography is about capturing the joyful, bright, authentic moments of your big day in a way that beautifully tells the story of your love.

Your moments matter.
