Another perfect summer engagement session. This time, on a farm. Well, actually it started at Meramec Springs, in the exact spot Austin proposed to Samantha, and then we went to the farm. Sentimental engagement session, plus engagement session on the farm, equals one happy photographer. But wait, there’s more! The dress Samantha wore on the farm, was her grandmother’s wedding dress. It really just doesn’t get much better than that!
Samantha and Austin are ridiculously adorable. And their love story is equally adorable. All the adorable-ness makes my heart happy!
It all began at a pool. 11 year old Samantha noticed 13 year old Austin doing back flips off the diving board. After a few days of noticing each other at the pool, they got each other’s phone numbers. And their friendship began. Texts and phone calls over the next couple of years, and then finally making it “official”. In Samantha’s words,
“Austin made me feel so precious, so worthy, and so wanted. All of which I felt drained of prior to him. We developed such a priceless friendship through building our relationship. We hold hands in church together…We have suffered through losses together. We’ve had midnight heart-to-hearts all the time and have even cried in each other’s arms. We laugh every single day and serve each other in the most humbling ways. We continually build each other up with each day that passes. We are each other’s biggest fans and greatest supporters and we are so happy to be doing life together.”
These high school sweethearts are SO ready to start the next chapter of their love story. And I am SO excited to be a part of it! I can’t wait for their fall wedding! I have a feeling they won’t be able to stop smiling.
