The One with the Floral Dress

I love the show Friends.  It’s one of those shows that I can turn on any episode, in any order, at any point during the episode and immediately start laughing. Out loud. And then I don’t want to stop watching.  When it came out on Netflix, you better believe it was the ONLY thing I was watching.  Like hard core, powered through, laughing my butt off.

One of my favorite things about Friends, are the titles of each episode.  I know.  I’m weird.  But, in case you have no idea what I’m talking about, every episode title starts with: “The One with…”  or “The One Where…”  And every time I read the title, I think, “oh this one’s my favorite.”  And then I look at the next one, and, nope THAT’s my favorite…no wait, “The One with Ross’s Tan” THAT’s the one.  I basically just love Friends.

Anyway, I’ve decided to copy that idea on this here blog.  Just because.  So this one is “The One with the Floral Dress.”  Because the dress was amazing.  As well as the girl in it.  This whole session was just amazing.

I mean that’s not to say there weren’t some set backs.  That’s a given when it comes to a family shoot.  Like little Blake would NOT crack a smile for my big black camera in his face.  I mean, I can’t really blame him, it’s kinda scary, especially when we start making funny noises and barking like a dog.  But, he eventually caved.  We’re persistent like that.

Or how about the fact that it felt like spring and was sunny and gorgeous allllll day long, until the minute we’re ready to start taking pictures and all of the sudden there’s clouds completely covering the sun.  Seriously?? But don’t worry, the sun peeked out for a bit and we got some dreamy, glowy-ness going on.

Honestly, if that’s the worst to happen at a photo shoot, I’m a happy photographer!  These kids were fun.  And mom and dad were just plain good looking.  I’m telling you.  The dress.  It was a good day.

It's about more than hiring someone to hold a camera and snap a few pics. Wedding photography is about capturing the joyful, bright, authentic moments of your big day in a way that beautifully tells the story of your love.

Your moments matter.
