So I’m a photographer (in case you didn’t know), but I’m also a mom. With an iPhone. That I use to take A LOT of pictures. GASP! I know. How dare I use anything by my super amazing (and heavy and expensive) camera! Well I don’t all the time. In fact, I even go as far as posting mostly phone pictures on my personal Instagram account! Can you even believe it?!!
Well, part of why I got into photography in the first place, was because I LOVE taking pictures. (I know, duh!) But, because I love taking pictures so much, I tend to want pictures of EVERYTHING! My kids don’t even fight it anymore. They just know. Thankfully, smartphones make it SO MUCH EASIER to actually take a million pictures!
Don’t get me wrong, my preference is still my fancy camera, but sometimes (especially as a mom) that just ain’t happening!
Here’s the thing, though. Not only do I love actually taking pictures, I love having actual hard copies of those pictures. Obviously, as a photographer, I’m a BIG believer in quality images. Andfor those really good pictures (that I took as a photographer, with my fancy camera) I frame them. But what the heck are you supposed to do with the 1,467,389,732 other pictures?!!
Well, friends, one word: Chatbooks. It’s like the fancy framed picture’s best friend.
If you haven’t heard of Chatbooks, get ready. They’re ah-mazing. And SO easy to make. It’s a simple app that has access to your photos on your phone and you just pick the pics you want in the book and then order it! OR, my favorite option, sync it to your instagram account, and set it to automatically send you a book of your instagram posts every 60 posts! But wait, there’s more! One book is only 8 bucks! So, for $8, you get a cute little 6x6in softcover flip book with 60 of your favorite photos or instagram posts!
I’m telling you. Amazing. And mostly because it takes practically NO work on my part! I currently have something like 20 “volumes”, and I literally did nothing except the initial set up when I downloaded the app however long ago that was. For a busy mom, it was a no brainer.
Ok, but the absolute BEST part, is how much my kids love to look at them! Like over, and over for long amounts of time! Especially my baby girl. She’s obsessed. And I love it.
I seriously can’t say enough good things about Chatbooks. It’s the perfect little way to keep all those memories accessible to the whole family, away from a device. Or as a gift to grandma! (Which I’ve totally done before, and it literally only took me 5 minutes).
Oh, and by the way, I’m writing this because I really love them that much. Chatbooks only knows me as a loyal customer. I wasn’t asked to do this. 🙂
