The bridal suite at The Four Seasons St. Louis is like none other. Floor to ceiling windows, across two rooms, with the most fabulous views. The Arch shines in the not too far off distance. The Martin Luther King bridge, stretching over the Mississippi River. It’s a pretty spectacular space to start your wedding day. And it was just about perfect for Alex and her girls. Alex actually booked this particular location (and me!) before she was even officially engaged. I think it’s safe to say, she had planned her dream wedding. And it was about to begin.
So many sweet finishing touches went into Alex and Tim’s day. Hand beaded bridesmaids gifts. A gorgeous veil designed and created by Alex’s sister. A Lazaro wedding dress with an added belt that Alex’s late grandma had worn on her wedding day. Alex arranged the flowers herself, as well as doing her own hair and makeup. She had a vision for her day, and to see it unfold was magical.
Even more magical, was the love that was everywhere the entire day. The looks Tim would give his sweet bride, continually melted my heart. Watching him, watch Alex, as her dad walked her down the aisle, had me tearing up behind my camera! Nothing makes my heart happier than witnessing this kind of love. And being able to freeze it in time feels like a super power!
A storm quickly, and almost violently, rolled in just as we were starting bridal party pictures. But, nobody skipped a beat! I actually think it made everyone have more fun! The guys were all about some umbrella pictures! And when groomsmen say they WANT pictures, you know it’s a good day.
But, it got even better, when Tim and Alex said they were hungry, and we all ended up at McDonalds. Full bridal party, 3 videographers and 2 photographers. There’s really nothing like seeing a bride and groom make eating cheeseburgers look adorable.
Alex and Tim, I hope your wedding was everything you wanted and more. But, more importantly, I hope your marriage gets better and stronger every day. Tim, never stop looking at Alex the way you did all day Saturday. Alex, never stop smiling your infectious smile! You two are made for each other, and I loved spending the day proving it in pictures.
