Kate and Bailey’s Hermann Hill summer wedding was straight out of a Nicholas Sparks novel. Beginning at a small stone church in the country and ending with sunset pictures on the bluffs of the Missouri river. These middle school sweethearts had the perfect day.
Kate met Bailey at 4-H camp, and couldn’t stop talking about him from the minute she met him. Years later, Bailey told Kate he loved her, and she literally passed out. (I sure love hearing wedding toasts!! I find out alllll the good stuff!) Watching Kate and Bailey together, you can just tell. They have it. They were meant for each other, and it’s the sweetest thing to see.
Kate has been dreaming of her perfect wedding since she was 10. Right down to her colors. Which never changed. And came together perfectly. Peachy blush dresses for her bridesmaids, and light gray tuxes for the guys. The most gorgeous peachy blush roses and soft greenery in the bouquets just oozed romantic summer wedding! 10 year old Kate’s wedding day dreams came true, and I would venture to guess it was even better than she imagined!
Generations of Kate’s family had been married at the small stone church, down a long gravel road, nestled in the hills of Hermann, Missouri. It was the most gorgeous beginning to this sweet summer wedding. Kate had tears in her eyes as her dad walked her down the aisle, towards her future. And Bailey couldn’t stop smiling at his stunning bride.
The sentimental touches were so intentional throughout the day. The church, where Kate’s parents and grandparents had been married. Her grandmother’s broach that had been passed down since the 1700s. A gorgeous ring, given to Kate by that same grandmother. And Kate’s Maggie Sottero dress, and cathedral length veil, tied it all together with a classic and elegant and romantic touch.
After saying “I do”, and pictures at Kate’s family’s property, and dinner, and toasts, and dancing, and cake…we snuck out to the bluffs, overlooking the Missouri River, just as the sun was setting. It was the perfect romantic ending to the perfect summer wedding.
Kate and Bailey’s Hermann Hill summer wedding will be one I’ll never forget.
