Meehan and Brad’s Marriott St. Louis Grand wedding was one for the record books – a day full of fun and most of all, LOVE! I hope you enjoy getting to know them as much as I did through their interview and wedding day details.

Modern Love
Meehan and Brad met in May 2017 while both attending Saint Louis University. Meehan’s best friend (and Maid-Of-Honor!) was working with Brad at the time, and told Meehan that she knew a guy that she thought was perfect for Meehan. After the friend showed Meehan his picture, she was IN! Meehan’s friend went over to Brad’s apartment to hang out with a group of friends and walked in with Meehan on FaceTime. Brad ended up taking the phone and talking to her for nearly an hour. And the rest is history, ending with their Marriott St. Louis Grand wedding!

Sparky Love
Since Brad is from New Orleans, he chose to take Meehan to Evangeline’s Bistro and Music House in CWE for their first date. These two had an incredible time enjoying some of the food from his hometown and enjoying the live music together. They had been sitting across a small table together, but sparks really flew when he came to sit down to the right of her and put his arm around her watching the band.

Long Term Love
Brad, being a year older than Meehan, graduated and went on to law school in Nashville at Vanderbilt. Meehan finished up her senior year and graduate program for her Master’s in OT. After over a year of long distance, she moved to Nashville to be with him! Then they moved to Houston this November for both of their work, and they plan on planting roots their as well! They just celebrated their 4 YEAR anniversary on July 28th – exactly one month before their Marriott St. Louis Grand wedding!

A Saint Louis Kind Of Love
When Brad proposed to Meehan, they were living in Nashville at the time. Meehan’s best friend came to surprise her “for her birthday.” That Friday, Meehan’s friend said that she had a conference call in the afternoon, but that they should go out that night to celebrate Meehan’s birthday. She would need to take the call in Meehan’s apartment and that Meehan “needed to leave for it.” Brad picked Meehan up and he said that they should just have lunch at his place. Right before walking in, he told Meehan that he loved her. They opened the door and saw lights hanging on the walls, candles lit, photos of them on the wall, a slideshow of them on the TV, and St. Louis food and things everywhere!!! He gave her a letter saying how much he wanted to spend his life with her, with the last line being “Will you marry me” and him down on one knee. They ended up going to the rooftop bar, and both families were there to celebrate with them. He always said he envisioned himself proposing in St. Louis, but with the pandemic it didn’t work out. So he brought STL to her.

Love In Their Own Words
Ahead of their Marriott St. Louis Grand wedding, we asked Meehan and Brad to describe their love in their own words. This was their response: “I love how goofy we are together! We always say we could be in an empty room for hours and never grow bored. I think we both do a good job of making the other one laugh and feel loved.”

An Adventurous Love
Meehan and Brad generally just love being together. But it is obvious that they love to try new things as a unit too! They love cooking, saving and opening up a new bottle of wine, going out to dinner and trying new foods, or trying a new brewery!

A Love Of Food
Meehan and Brad’s favorite date night spot in St. Louis is Montelle Winery – this is actually where he said he always wanted to propose! On a date their, they sat on the deck and the sunset was absolutely breathtaking. Sitting across the table from the person you love, enjoying great food and wine, and an amazing view and weather together – they loved it.

Smiley Love
I don’t think I’ve ever seen more smiles than throughout this entire Marriott St. Louis Grand wedding day. Meehan not only has a gorgeous smile, but radiates happiness. You can just see her love for Brad, and vice versa. They chose not to do a first look, and Brad’s reaction to Meehan walking down the aisle was priceless. And Meehan was, of course, all smiles. So was her dad! They did, however, read the sweetest notes to each other before the ceremony.

Fun Love
I styled the detail shots two days earlier with the florist, Ashley. This made for more time in the getting ready room (in one of the luxury suites at the hotel) and bridal portraits. And trust me – that made for the BEST time getting ready! This bridal party was FUN! They brought their music with them during portrait time and took a break for a little dance party in Forest Park. I was a huge fan!

Thoughtful Love
Ahead of her Marriott St. Louis Grand wedding, Meehan surprised her bridesmaids, mom, and mother-in-law with the most thoughtful, heartfelt gifts. It was very evident that Meehan is an expert gift giver!

Lively Fun
Meehan and Brad’s Marriott St. Louis Grand wedding was light and airy, romantic and elegant, lively and fun – complete with a dance floor no one wanted to leave. It was a night that everyone will remember! The live band was epic – and their exit, complete with a second line, was one for the ages!
