St. Louis Grand Marriott Wedding | Taylor and Travis

Taylor and Travis’ St. Louis Grand Marriott wedding day was so personal and unique to them – every detail reflected their fun personalities and their love for travel and each other. Let’s get to know them and their wedding day a little better!

Georgia On My Mind

Taylor and Travis met while they were both living in Savannah, Georgia. Taylor was working for the Savannah Bananas and Travis was stationed there with the military. They met through mutual friends, but apparently it wasn’t an instant connection! Apparently, Travis wasn’t sure if he was going to like Taylor, so their first date as at a restaurant/bar about 30 steps from his house and they ate at the bar. Since it was so close to his house, Travis knew the bartenders and planned an escape with them “just incase he needed an out.” Luckily he didn’t – the rest is history, culminating with their St. Louis Grand Marriott wedding!

She Said Yes!

After dating for several years, Taylor and Travis went to visit her parents in Farmington, IL. The two of them were taking pictures for a blog she was writing at the time and he proposed at the house in front of the pool. Her whole family was there to celebrate and it was so special! (Even though Taylor says she knew it was happening – hah!). Next up, their St. Louis Grand Marriott wedding!

Adventurers At Heart

Taylor and Travis are both adventurous, hard headed, thoughtful, happy go lucky people. They love to have fun and have new experience together, but also love to just have those little surprises for one another. They support each other and make each other smile! One way that this adventurous and fun-loving spirit was shown at their wedding was through the custom, hand-painted vases by Meredith Huhman. Each one depicted a place they had traveled to – it was such a special and unique touch! But in reality, it wasn’t just the vases. Each detail of the day was planned perfectly and really showed off how unique and fun this couple really is.

Fun Dates

Another way that Taylor and Travis show off their fun side is through their favorite dates. Right now, their current favorite “date” idea is traveling anywhere and everywhere. In fact, one of their favorite things to do on those trips is to have photoshoots in cool locations. Before they moved to St. Louis, they would have fun, “experience” date nights that they both loved! Some fun standouts they mentioned were a river cruise in Savannah and dinner at the Melting Pot.

In Their Own Words

Prior to their St. Louis Grand Marriott wedding, we asked Taylor and Travis to tell us what they love about each other. This was their response:

Taylor – “I love how genuine and kind hearted he is. He makes everyone feel like they are special and loved, especially me, and no matter what we are going through, he is always willing to work on it and get through things with me.”

Travis – “I love how she makes me a better person, and pushes me to be a kind person.”

A Personal St. Louis Grand Marriott Wedding Day

I know it seems redundant, but their day truly was so personal to them. All the details were so special! From the ceremony to the handpainted vases, each touch was unique. Taylor’s close friend performed the ceremony, and knocked it out of the park. It was the perfect way to incorporate friends into their day! There was no first look, and Travis’s reaction seeing Taylor walk down the aisle was everything. It was the reaction every bride hopes for! Their bride and groom portraits were magical. We went to Lafayette Square Park and had the best time!

In keeping with their love for adventure, their honeymoon is a trip to the Canary Islands and Rome since Bali is still closed. They hope to go to Bali next year for a second honeymoon!
