Get ready folks. I’ve got a proposal story for you that will knock your socks off! One of my most favorite things ever is hearing love stories. Last year, I blogged my own love story, and it was SO fun! And every time I blog a new love story, I’m reminded why I love what I do so much! Love stories are my favorite. Especially the proposal part of the story.
Which brings me to McKenzi (Mac to her friends) and Jay.
Several years ago, these two dated for a bit in college. But, ultimately, drifted apart. Then, three years ago, while Jay was at a Bachelor party in New Orleans, their paths crossed again. Mac said it was love at “second sight” and the rest is history! Mac and Jay live an adventurous life. She splits time between New Orleans and St. Louis for work. He is part of a semi-professional paintball team! And, together, they love to travel.
Which brings me to THE proposal.
While vacationing in Belize, Mac and Jay decided to go scuba diving. Little did Mac know, that Jay had schemed something pretty amazing with the diving instructor. They started their dive, and when they reached the bottom, Jay pulled out a sea shell with a ring in it! UNDERWATER! The only thing Mac could do was nod, and try not to cry into her mask.
I’m not really sure you can get more romantic than an underwater proposal.
And now these two are planning an intimate New Orleans wedding and an epic St. Louis reception. I have no doubt both will be perfect.
In the meantime, I got to spend a beautiful Fall evening with them in front of the St. Louis Art Museum. It was also perfect.
