Michaela and Shane have been together since sophomore year of high school. (Plus a little bit in 8th grade!) They weathered four years of long distance during college, and can’t wait to spend the rest of their lives together! There’s really nothing more romantic than high school sweethearts! They get each other. The memories they share, the love they have, it’s the real deal! And anytime you can recreate a high school prom picture at your ENGAGEMENT session is a win in my book!
To make things even better, Michaela hunted down the most perfect willow trees, in the middle of Tower Grove Park, where we made magic happen! The dreamy, glowy, summer light was perfection. And we had the most amazing summer weather. Spending the evening with these two was good for the soul.
I don’t think I can stress enough how important engagement sessions are. It’s where we ALL really get to know each other! And, let’s face it, being in front of the camera can be SO weird! (Believe me, I. Get. It!) BUT, I always, 100% of the time, can feel when it’s NOT so weird anymore! Something shifts during your session, and all of the sudden it’s just fun! And then, come your wedding day, you’ve got this! We’re all just good friends, having a good time! Michaela and Shane are proof. As we were leaving their session, Michaela flat out told me how much better she feels about everything! No more stress about pictures! And that, folks, is pretty much the best thing a photographer can hear!
