Windows on Washington Wedding | Rachel and Zach

Rachel and Zach are living proof that long distance relationships can work. And, not just work, but thrive. But, what happens when you’re doing the long distance thing, and jobs change, all while planning a wedding? St. Louis becomes your destination wedding location! And a Windows on Washington wedding becomes the perfect place to bring everyone together.

Windows on Washington is a stunning venue. It was a perfect match for Rachel and Zach. Rachel is a classy girl, with classic taste, and her wedding day vision was no different. Classic black tuxes for the guys, and long black dresses for the girls. Complimented by ivory and white florals, with a touch of greenery. The end result was stunning. Only to be outdone by Rachel’s Justin Alexander wedding dress.

The entire week leading up to their big day, the forecast called for rain. Lots of rain. Even late into Friday evening, it was supposed to rain. I’m not sure there’s a happier feeling than waking up on your wedding day to SUNSHINE when you were expecting rain! We all agreed it was a wedding day miracle.

The wedding day was planned perfectly. Rachel thought of everything. And handled it all with such class.  From thoughtful gifts, to an intimate (and oh so sweet) first look, to pictures in Forest Park (in absolutely gorgeous spring weather), to a tear-filled walk down the aisle, arm in arm with her dad. It was a day filled with nothing but happiness and love.

Rachel and Zach, I’m still smiling over your perfect day. And I am SO happy for you both. Your Memphis love story got me from the beginning, and I’ll never forget it! It was an absolute honor to be a part of your beginning! I have no doubt your future together is bright. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Alkire!

It's about more than hiring someone to hold a camera and snap a few pics. Wedding photography is about capturing the joyful, bright, authentic moments of your big day in a way that beautifully tells the story of your love.
