The One with the Property

And the best husband award goes to Matt! Carmen wanted pictures for Mother’s Day, and he was all in! And he didn’t complain once.  And we all know, family pictures are never the daddy’s favorite thing.  So high five to you Matt!

But let’s talk about the property! Carmen and Matt are in the dreaming stages of building a home, on this absolutely gorgeous piece of land.  They call it the property.  Which I love.  And it’s little Ben’s happy place.  He ran all over that property, and loved every single minute of it.  And, he even let me take some pictures of him! That’s progress guys! He doesn’t usually like my camera! But that’s ok, because little brother Bradley is keeping that tradition alive.  Good thing he’s so stinking cute! This whole family is. Pure, 100% cuteness.

When I was newly married, still in college, and pre-kids, I was a substitute teacher.  Carmen and Matt were in high school then.  I was also a youth leader at our church, and one of Carmen’s best friends was one of my girls. I had them all in various classes I subbed, I did they’re hair for Homecoming (not Matt’s!), I was at their graduation.  I feel like I’ve seen Matt and Carmen grow up, and now they have a family of their own! And property! And I feel very old.  But I love them, and their cute family.  And I love that I’m the one that get’s to capture their journey.  Because it’s a good one.  And I love small towns, where our connections run deep.

It's about more than hiring someone to hold a camera and snap a few pics. Wedding photography is about capturing the joyful, bright, authentic moments of your big day in a way that beautifully tells the story of your love.

Your moments matter.
