The One in the Front Yard

A year and a half after my husband and I were married, we bought our first home.  We lived in it for 10 years, brought home all four babies to that house, lived on a great street, with great neighbors.

Right after Christmas last year, we moved around the corner into a new house and a new neighborhood, with new neighbors.  I’m convinced small town people are just nicer.  Our new neighbors rock!  And this weekend, I did a little family session with my next door neighbors.  They are awesome.  And seriously good looking.  And SO nice.

And better yet, we literally walked out our front doors for this session.  It was awesome.  And really green.  Because Missouri + lots of rain = GREEEEEEN!

And let me tell you about cute little Bryce.  She is four, and has a serious future in front of the camera.  Let’s just say her dad is worried.  Ok, and, she even brought her own stool to use as a prop.  Because she’s adorable like that.

Then there’s Bryce’s big brother Jak.  He’s just the coolest 12 year old.  AND, he’s super into photography! Like all he wanted for his twelfth birthday was a good camera! Which he got, and is killing it learning all about it!

Ok, now let’s talk about Mike and Whitney.  They’re basically models.  100%.  Like they could quit they’re day jobs if they wanted to.  Just saying.

I love family sessions like this one.  It was a gorgeous evening, with some seriously fun people.  It really doesn’t get much better than that!!

It's about more than hiring someone to hold a camera and snap a few pics. Wedding photography is about capturing the joyful, bright, authentic moments of your big day in a way that beautifully tells the story of your love.

Your moments matter.
