Once upon a time, Ryan and Emily fell in love and got married on a rainy day in May. Almost exactly 4 years later they met an overly enthusiastic photographer for a pretty special photo shoot. Emily is pregnant! With their first baby!!! And they needed pictures to announce to the world!
I just love this idea.
Here’s what I think. Your wedding day is one of the most exciting and happiest and magical days of your life. But finding out your pregnant with your first baby is all of that experienced over and over again for 9 months. Probably mixed together with a little (or a lot) of worry, and fear, and “I have no idea what to do with a baby!” And then you HAVE that baby, and all that happiness and love you THOUGHT you’d experienced explodes through the roof. So capturing the beginning of that happiness, on camera, is pretty much priceless. In my opinion.
And I am now kicking myself for never doing this with my first! Or any of them.
My number one goal as a photographer isn’t actually to take beautiful pictures. That’s my job. My GOAL, is to freeze that happiness and love and joy that you FEEL into an image so that when you look back at those pictures you remember exactly how you felt because you can SEE it!
Emily and Ryan are the cutest. And I have no doubt they will knock it out of the park as parents!
