There’s no doubt about it, getting married in March, in Missouri can be a risk. One week before Stephanie and RJ’s big day, we had snow! Following the snow, it warmed up, but started raining. And boy did it RAIN. The entire morning, while Stephanie and RJ were getting ready, was a steady downpour. Dark clouds, flooding rain, you’d think everyone would be discouraged. Nope. Not one single complaint. Even as bridesmaids are running through the rain, bringing in details and dresses. Everyone, including Stephanie and RJ, were so beyond happy about this day. I loved seeing the smiles as all the details were laid out. Burgundy and blush color tones. Sparkle on the shoes and the jewelry. Stephanie’s perfume was even called Summer Blush! Despite the rain, this was destined to be a GOOD day.
I’m convinced that all the smiles and happiness willed the rain away. By the time Stephanie and RJ had said “I do”, the rain was gone, and the sun had started to peek through the clouds. Perfect timing.
I don’t think I’ll ever forget the way RJ looked at Stephanie the entire day. He never stopped smiling at her, or pulling her in for kisses. It was THE sweetest. These two are perfect for each other. Sweet and genuine. Happy and fun. Caring and kind. I saw it all, and it was magic.
Stephanie and RJ, I will never forget you. The kindness and gratitude you showed everyone, including me, will stay with me forever. My wish for you both, is that you never forget how to make each other smile. That you always remember the pure love you felt for each other the day you committed to forever. It was so special to witness every moment, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you both. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Kenny!
