Courtney and Casey’s Cedar Lake Cellars wedding was such a blast! I loved getting to know this sweet couple and I was so thrilled to share in their day.
No First Look
Every now and then, a couple will choose to buck tradition and do what feels right for them. Casey and Courtney chose not to do a first look, and boy am I glad they made that decision! Instead of a first look, they chose to do a “first touch.” They held hands around a corner and read their vows to each other. They said the sweetest things – we all teared up!
Watching The Groom
I know it is pretty common to watch the bride as she walks down the aisle – and for good reason. It’s pure joy and love displayed for everyone in the room! But I love to watch the face of the groom watching his love walk toward him. Casey didn’t disappoint when he saw Courtney – nothing but smiles!
Patriotic People
Since their wedding was the weekend of Independence Day, I knew we wanted to snap a few patriotic photos. On the way to the reception, we made a quick stop on Main Street Old St. Charles and captured the cutest photos!
Perfect Weather For A Cedar Lake Cellars Wedding
The weather could not have been better for Courtney and Casey’s outdoor reception. They shared their first dance at sunset, and it was so magical! Fun fact – Courtney actually has one brown eye and one green eye. Courtney danced her first dance with her dad to ‘Brown Eyed Girl’ – so much fun!
The Story of CE2
The following story was displayed at their reception, and was a recurring theme throughout the day.
“On October 13th, 2017, Courtney and Casey went on what they both agree to be their favorite date yet. They drove to the Missouri State Capitol and hopped into a passing tour group. Casey’s jokes quickly became the center of attention, and had everyone buckling over in laughter. They then went for ice cream at Central Dairy. They finished off the evening by carving ‘CE2’ into a tree overlooking the river. Shortly after Casey said out loud what they had both been thinking since the day they met. ‘You’re going to be my wife.’ Since then, CE2 has symbolized the truth they know one day they would both have the same first and last initials, and today that dream final comes true.”
The couple ended their Cedar Lake Cellars wedding with an epic sparkler exit, and jetted off to their honeymoon.
Thank you, Courtney and Casey, for including me in your love story. It was an honor to capture your wedding day!
