Hilton Ballpark Wedding | Sage + Jack

Sage and Jack’s Hilton Ballpark Wedding was the best day. Sage was the most beautiful bride, and witnessing Jack see her for the first time as she walked down the aisle, was the sweetest. These two just radiate happiness!

A “Modern” Meet- Cute

Sage and Jack have been together for over two years – a great time to build a foundation of friendship prior to their Hilton Ballpark wedding. But how did these two lovebirds meet? Why, on a dating site, of course! A truly modern way to fall in love! Their first date was drinks at George’s Keep (a local bar in San Antonio) – and they’ve been together ever since.

Frozen In Love

Sage and Jack had a relatively short engagement leading up to their Hilton Ballpark wedding. Earlier this year, on Valentines Day, Jack took Sage to the place where they met – not the bar, though! It was a nice restaurant with beautiful scenery nearby. This was the day of the big ice storm that shut down San Antonio for a week, so roads were completely iced over on the drive home. Jack told Sage they were going to dinner. But instead, he took Sage outside for a good bit, began playing Calum Scott’s “You Are The Reason” from his phone, and popped a knee near the Eilan Hotel. Sage says she was “absolutely freezing,” but she smiled and said yes….obviously! Her family was waiting inside the hotel and greeted them for a celebration of their new engagement.

In Their Own Words

We love asking our couples to describe their love and each other in their own words. This is their response:

EB: How would you describe your relationship?

S+J: “Joyful, supportive, faithful, fulfilling, and fun!”

EB: What do you love most about each other?

Sage: “Jack is the most selfless and thoughtful person I’ve ever met. He makes me laugh every single day and I’m so grateful and excited to love him forever!”

Jack: “Sage is extremely kind with generous heart. She appreciates the little moments of every day and loves the relationship we share…. and it shows !”

Low-Key Date Nights

Sage and Jack’s love to keep their date nights low key. In fact, they said their favorite date night is Chick Fil A, sometimes while watching a Netflix show or rom com. But more often than not, lately their date nights have devolved into study sessions!

Family Connection

Sage and Jack’s Hilton Ballpark wedding was the best day, top to bottom. In fact, Jack’s best man (and brother) is a past groom of mine. His wife was also in the bridal party. It was SO FUN to see them again! (Alex and Tim’s wedding was so magical!) It just made the connection and bond between our team and the wedding party so seamless and helped flow of the day.

Perfect Fall Wedding

The wedding day had the most perfect fall weather. The colors in the leaves for their portraits just could not be topped. The color palette of their Hilton Ballpark wedding was so natural and played off the colors of the outdoors – so stunning! The Priest who married Sage and Jack is a Priest at Notre Dame (where Jack went to school), and gave one of the best homilies I’ve ever heard. He compared a marriage to the Arch, having 2 solid foundations, but coming together making it stronger.

After their Hilton Ballpark wedding, Sage and Jack headed off to Anguilla for their honeymoon!

It's about more than hiring someone to hold a camera and snap a few pics. Wedding photography is about capturing the joyful, bright, authentic moments of your big day in a way that beautifully tells the story of your love.
